THE FEARLESSLY CREATIVE
Marcel Wanders is a Dutch Designer and entrepreneur. Armed with an Executive MBA from INSEAD, and years of experience consulting literally hundreds of corporations, he is now turning his attention to Budapest to design and develop exquisite luxury design apartments. Marcel Wanders heads a studio of more than 50 international design specialists in Amsterdam. As a prolific product and interior designer and art director, Marcel Wanders is ubiquitous with over 1900+ projects to his name for premium brands such as Louis Vuitton, Baccarat, Nike, Alessi, Bisazza, KLM, Flos, Phillips, Swarovski, Starbucks among scores of others.
In recognition for his career-spanning efforts to bridge design, innovation, technology and business, Business Week selected him as one of Europe’s ’25 leaders of change’. Many of Marcel Wanders’ designs have been selected for world-renown architecture and design collections, such as the MoMA in New York and MoMA San Francisco, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Marcel Wanders co-founded the successful Design label MOOOI, of which he is the owner and Art Director. Besides Designer and Art Director Wanders has been successfully developing multiple real estate projects in Amsterdam, under which the Andaz Hotel Amsterdam. Marcel is a creator, an audacious innovator. Throughout his career, he has been able to create creative luxury that surprises and comfortably embraces his audience around the world.
Now he wants to share his first project in Budapest, its name is the BudaBaroN of Normafa.
THE SHAMELESSLY LUXURIOUS
Gabriella Asztalos was born in Budapest, grew up and studied in several countries across Western Europe. Before her design studies, Gabriella was a professional classical ballet dancer at the Hungarian National Ballet. With her first designs, Gabriella won the ICFF New York Design Award and the IFFS International Singapore Furniture Design Award and other international awards like the A-Design Award.Her design style and work is defined by exclusivity, sophistication and an innate understanding of luxury, which led her to win numerous awards and significant international recognition. Gabriella manages her business activities from her design studio based in Barcelona. Among her clients you can find prominent brands like Fendi Casa Italy, Le Méridien Hotel Abu Dhabi, Hotel W Barcelona, Red Bull Headquarters Salzburg, Mitsubishi Headquarters Tokyo, Blue Marlin Ibiza, Aspire Doha – Qatar, just to mention a few.
Gabriella acts as Art Director and Designer for high-end luxury brands and created her own furniture collection that’s currently sells in 38 countries. After travelling the world, she now decided to make a lasting mark on Budapest, a first personal contribution to the city that she loves.
